Swimming, Aquatic Fitness, Water Safety and Fun for All Ages

The Swimming Pool and Aquatics Center at Kitsap Tennis and Athletic Center is an opportunity for fun, fitness and learning for members, community guests and many of our community partners.  Our swimming pool schedule includes open swim time for members; public swim times for all of our community to enjoy KTAC’s heated, salt-water pool; aquatics fitness classes led by trained instructors; swim lessons for all ages; and much more.

Heated, Indoor, Saltwater Swimming Pool at KTAC

Love to swim but not down for the cold water and overwhelming chlorine?  KTAC has your solution.  Our indoor swimming pool is heated to a luxurious 85 degrees year around.  The salt-chlorination process our facility employs for sanitizing the pool dramatically reduces the unwanted effects of traditional chlorination including the overpowering chemical odor and irritation of skin, eyes, hair and fabric.  Our pool is a soothing, gentle environment for all ages.

Aquatics Programs at KTAC

Swim Lessons- All Ages

KTAC provides swim lessons for all ages and abilities.  Classes generally run twice a week for thirty minutes with new sessions starting each month.

Aquatics Fitness Classes

Each week, KTAC offers ten cumulative hours of aquatics fitness instruction.  Our aquatics fitness classes are low impact and vary in intensity, providing fitness opportunities for individuals with a wide range of fitness levels.  Our Aquatics Fitness Classes include standard water fitness, deep water fitness and our multi-level cardiovascular focused class Cardio Power.

Why Choose Aquatics Fitness Classes?

Aquatics based fitness programs are beneficial for virtually everyone, especially those who are unable to participate in high-impact land fitness programs.  Aquatics fitness provides a low to no impact workout that includes both cardio and strength training exercise.  The health benefits of aquatics fitness may include increased physical endurance, weight management, cardiovascular fitness, muscular tone and strengthening and stress relief.

Community Partner Programs

Community building is a core value here at KTAC. One of the many ways we demonstrate this value is through our work with community partners. KTAC works with our community partners to share resources including our Aquatic Center to enhance the aquatics programming available within our communities. Some of our community partners include:

  • Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue

  • Central Kitsap Schools (ROV Program, Kitsap Kids Learn 2 Swim)
